Minor Officials Training

We request all parents and volunteers interested in minor officiating at home games and tournaments to please watch our training videos.

These videos will explain, in detail, all the minor official roles that are required to efficiently run a water polo game.

The videos are also a GREAT way to learn the nuances of the rules of water polo.

NOW TAKE THE QUIZ

It's a good idea to view the videos more than once. It can be particularly useful after you have watched a tournament or several games.

Once you have watched all tutorials, before you volunteer, we ask you to take a short quiz to ensure they have gained sufficient understanding to work as a minor official.

When you feel you are ready to take the quiz, click on the link below. There are 25 true or false and multiple-choice questions. (Questions vary each time you take the quiz)

You will have 25 minutes to complete the quiz. You will have three tries to pass the quiz before any particular event.

A passing mark will require a score of 80% or higher. Your qualification is good for 1 year from the date you successfully complete the quiz. After one year, you will need to take the test again.

Ontario Water Polo will maintain a list of potential minor officials who have successfully completed the quiz, so the host club of the event where you wish to officiate can check your credentials.

Thank you!
